Girls Who Code
Grades 3-5
GWC Club members will learn about computer science concepts, and just as importantly, they'll learn that they have a community in the computer science space!
Throughout the Club, all members will:
- Learn to see themselves as computer scientists.
- Gain exposure to project management and problem solving techniques.
- Build sisterhood in a safe and supportive environment of peers and role models.
- Learn about tech innovators and professionals across a wide range of industries around the world.
- Learn the foundational computer science concepts and computational thinking skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing tech landscape.
Learn the basics of coding with hands-on activities and projects. This is an ongoing club that requires a monthly commitment and will meet twice a month from January – June. Girls Who Code is a national nonprofit organization leading the movement to inspire, educate and equip girls with the computing skills to pursue 21st-century opportunities. Girls Who Code clubs programs are designed for female participants but we welcome any member who wishes to join the Girls Who Code mission irrespective of gender identity.
