On June 15, 1904, the General Slocum caught fire and sank in the East River of NYC. Although over 1,000 people were killed in the blaze, most people have never head of the tragedy. Join Edward O’Donnell author of Ship Ablaze on the eve of the anniversary and learn about one of New York’s biggest tragedies. A Zoom link will be provided by the Library.
